Taking pictures of webpages.
Have you ever been working on your computer and wished you could take a picture of your screen? Mac OS 10 has some great screen capture tools built into the operating system. You can take pictures of your entire screen, an open window, or just an area you select, all with the following keyboard commands:
Entire screen picture: Command (the apple key right next to the space bar)+Shift+3
Take picture of single window: Command+Shift+4 then click the mouse button and your mouse turns into a camera. Point the camera at the window you want to capture and click!
Take picture of custom area: Command+Shift+4. Your mouse pointer will turn into a select tool, click and drag to select the area you want to take a picture of.
All these commands will place the picture files on your desktop.
Most people know the keyboard commands for taking pictures of their screen… but what if you want to capture an entire webpage screen, but you can’t see the entire webpage on your screen and therefore can’t take a picture of the entire page in one shot. Paparazzi is a great free program that allows you to take screenshots of entire webpages easily! This is especially handy for students or professionals who need to show an entire webpage in their presentations.
