The Past
I have loved Apple computers since I first used one at age 10! My family’s first computer was an Apple Performa 6400. It came with 16MB of RAM and a HUGE 2.6GB Hard Drive. I used it until it couldn’t handle the video editing I wanted to do, then bought an eMac with my life’s savings. I always enjoyed upgrading the computer and playing with the operating system.
When I was 18, my boss called me into his office to help fix his computer (a Compaq running Windows XP). After re-loading the OS, I thought that I should demo an Apple computer for him. I purchased two G3 Powermacs and demoed the way they could help with productivity. My boss liked the idea and bought the whole set-up from me! I enjoyed working on the project so much, I decided to open up my own business selling used Apple computers.
So, at the age of 19 I had started a small internet based business named MacUnwired. Now, after a couple years, I have sold 1000’s of products to people all over the US and the world including Europe, Egypt, Canada, Philippines, China, Chili, etc! I have built relationships with great suppliers that keep my inventory constantly changing and expanding.
After a year of selling used computers I reached a sales volume where I started to have returns and repair requests. When I heard from buyers how much they were being charged for repairs, I decided to expand my business into offering repairs for Apple computers.
